Location: South Kaibab Trail
Description:
This is Tom and Gary just beginning their climb off of the Tonto Plateau on the south Kaibab. As you can see, the trail is wide and well maintained. The shadows on the rocks across the river show we got an early start. We didn't want to be hiking the Redwall in the heat of the day. We had already hiked through Cremation Canyon earlier that morning.
